Griselda Vilar Sastre


GriseldavillarGRISELDA Vilar Sastre (gvilar@uji.es) is a PhD student in “International Studies in Peace, Conflict and Development” at Jaume I University (Castellón de la Plana, Spain). She holds a degree in Audiovisual Comunication from the Universitat Jaume I (Castellón de la Plana, Spain) and an MA in Music as an Interdisciplinary Art from the University of Barcelona (Spain). Griselda is a researcher and lecturer (PDI-FPU) in training and enjoys an FPU fellowship from the Spanish Ministry of Education (Training Program for University Teachers) at the department of Communication Sciences. She is currently participating as a member of the Educational Innovation Group (GIE) “Communication for peace and its role in critical and participatory learning in the Digital Public Sphere” and in the “Social Development and Peace (Philosophy, Communication, Education and Citizenship)” research group at the Jaume I University. Griselda has also participated in the research project “Young people and the Third Sector of Communication in Spain”. Likewise, she has several publications and has been a member of the evaluation committee for conferences and scientific journals such as AEIC (Spanish Association for Communication Research) or Chasqui Revista Latinoamericana de Comunicación (Latin American Journal of Communication). Nowadays Griselda is also a member of GIMEC Research (Multidisciplinary Group of Cultural Studies) of the European Centre for the Dissemination of Social Sciences (CEDCS). Her research focuses on cinema and audiovisual for social change, video activism and digital and participatory culture.
