Gloria Rosique Cedillo


gloriaGLORIA Rosique Cedillo (grosique@hum.uc3m.es) is a lecturer and researcher at the Department of Journalism and Audiovisual Communication at the Carlos III University, where she teaches the following units: “Social Journalism”, “Communication, Structure and Informational Purposes”, and “Theory and Analysis of Audiovisual Documentary”. She holds a PhD in Audiovisual Communication (European Mention), an MA in Managing Audiovisual Companies and also a degree in Audiovisual Communication. Gloria is the (co) author of more than thirty articles in prestigious journals (Razón y Palabra, Historia y Comunicación Social, Estudios sobre el Mensaje Periodístico, Comunicar, Revista Latina de Comunicación Social, Telos, and others), and book chapters with publishing houses such as Communication and Society, Fragua, CRC Press, etc. Her research focuses on the following areas: media and citizen participation; social responsibility and the media; television/audiences. Gloria is a member of research group “Political Information, Twitter and Democracy: politicians and citizens in the social media environment” of the Jaume I University at Castellón (Spain). Also she is researcher at the LOCALCOM group (Autonomous University of Barcelona). She is also listed at the National System of Researchers of Mexico (SNI).
